plan A or plan B

When I got laid off this year, I was on both sides of the field. I was so upset and nervous because I had just found out we were expecting, we had just moved into a new home (more $$mula$$) and well.. I've always been able to support my family with the income I had. At the same time, I was kind of excited for the new adventure that I was going to be able to go on for the first time in my life. Something I never thought I would have the chance to do.
Spend every day at home with my kids.
It's always been something I dreamt of. There is nothing I cherish more than being a Mom and I'm a pretty good home maker, if ya ask me. Haha. Jk. But really- I thought this was the perfect opportunity to be the woman I wanted to be and I could make a small income making bows, baby stuff, and home decor.
Well the last few months have been hard to say the least. I haven't even tried to make any bows, my sewing machine broke, and we just recently got the internet so that I can start using my vinyl machine. Haha. So the whole "making a little extra" hasn't worked out so well.
I lost my spot in the only day care that I trust with my babies. Which REALLY sucked the most out of the whole getting laid off deal. I just adore our baby sitter Jenny, and I really can't think of any other person that I would trust taking care of my kids. But after much thinking, I've decided that it is in my family's best interest for us to have another income. As sad as I am going to be... it's time to buckle down and find a job! On the list we go...
I only have {10} weeks until this little boy makes his appearance so the chances of me getting hired are pretty slim.... I'm guessing. But it's worth a shot!
I finally got a call back from a company that is looking for a receptionist. It's a 30 minute drive, which I wasn't so sure about, but the pay is great and I know it's something I would enjoy again. I have an interview tomorrow... so wish me luck!
And if I don't get the job... my plan B is to start babysitting a few kids full time.
Either one sounds good to me!! :)

Dreadful day care.

I love that my office smells of corn casserole. And peas. And bananas. And poop. And there are papers scattered across the floor. And the 10 pens i had in my jar this morning? Some wicked, worldy vacuum must have sucked them up.
Want to know what I love even more? When I forgot the bink yesterday- and regretted it. But when the day went pretty swell without it, I thought "hey, I'm going to forget it again today!" So that I did. Left the bink at home. It's noon.. and baby monster child is tired.. so I go to get some rice milk in the sippy.

Uhm.
Forgot the rice milk.

So lets just stick baby monster child in her play pen and hope she just lays down and goes to sleep. Like a baby angel child.

Uhm.
Nope.
Not happenin' Mommamia.

Baby monster child will just scream and throw things. Including herself. Smacking her head on the wall. Which creates an even more dramatic cry.

Now... tell me you wish you could take your baby to work with you? ;)
