{Christmas Questionnaire}

1. Egg nog or hot chocolate?

Well considering I've never tried Egg nog... {yeah, shame on me. I think I will go buy some today, actually!} Anyway, hot chocolate is good... but I'd pick coffee over anything. :)

2. Does Santa wrap presents or just sit them under the tree?

Santa just sets the gifts out. This year, he is leaving them in a santa bag... Ooooh, ahhhh ;)

3. Colored lights on tree/house or white?

White on the tree. Colored on the house. I actually REALLY want those big round bulbs that are either red and white or green and white for the outside of the house. And my house is SO dang tall, and the roof is the steepest incline, that I refuse to get on there. Haha. So hopefully next year there is a man around with a ladder. Yep. :D

4. Do you hang mistletoe?

I would if I had a lover to kiss.

5. When do you put your decorations up?

This year I put them up super early. Like 4 or 5 days before Thanksgiving. Tee hee. And it sucks, because now I'm not even in the Christmas spirit... :(

6. What is your favorite holiday dish?

I dunno. What I do know is I made the most amazing Christmas goodie the other day. The whole pretzel/candy cane hershey kiss/M&M. Ya heard? Post on that later. Minana maybe?

7. Favorite holiday memory as a child?

Christmas Eve family party at Grandpa's. :) Every year was so much fun.

8. When and how did you learn the truth about Santa?

I honestly can't even remember.

9. Do you open a gift on Christmas Eve? Jammies. Every year! I actually started a tradition with my kids-- Hey, I shall do a post on that seperately too. Haha.

10. How do you decorate your Christmas tree?This year I did a country/primitive theme. I made all of my ornaments. There are old fashion clothes pins, tin stars... yeah I can't think of what else. It's cute though. I'ma try to find a picture.

11. Snow! Love it or dread it?

Eh! It's a love/hate thing. It's so pretty. And sledding is so much fun for the kids. And snowboarding? Who doesn't love to try it once a year... and be so sore you can't move for three days... hahah. But I hate that it's so freaking cold. Brrrr. Makes me want to sit at home with coffee, movies, christmas lights, and blankies.

12. Can you ice skate?

I haven't tried to ice skate for YEARS!!!! I want to go so bad.

13. Do you remember your favorite gift?

Um.... either my piano, or my own home phone line. Haha. I got the cutest purple cordless phone!

14. What’s the most important thing about the holidays for you?

Family. A lot of people get so caught up in spending money and I've never taken notice until this year.. All I have heard is "Ugh! Are you ready for Christmas?! I'm not!" And I keep wondering why people think you have to be "ready" to celebrate the true meaning of this holiday... Why do people get all stressed because they haven't spent enough money...? I've taken it really chill this year, and it's nice. I'm going to church on Christmas sunday and I'm really going to try and focus on teaching my kids what it's really about. :)

15. What is your favorite holiday dessert?

Again, I dunno.

Probably Karlla's home made peanut butter cups. MMMM.

16. What is your favorite holiday tradition?It used to be the Christmas Eve party but since my Grandpa died, my Mom doesn't want to have it. :(

I really only have one tradition right now, it's the Christmas Eve Elf. I'm planning on starting lots more though.

17. What tops your tree?

A tin star. ;)

18. Which do you prefer: giving or receiving?

Giving. For sure. That's what I am making 2012 about. I have always been a giver, but not as much as I would like to be.

19. Candy canes: yuck or yum?

Depends. Candy cane hershey kisses? YUM.

20. Favorite Christmas show?

I love all Christmas shows! I'm a sucker for sappy/lovey/emotional shows. :)

21. Saddest Christmas song?

The Christmas shoes... Gets me every time.

 

22. What is your favorite Christmas song?

I dunno... I love Christmas so I'll probably sing any song. One that has caught my ear this year is __________{yeah, I don't know what it's called. Hahaha} by Kenny Chesney. I've heard it on the radio a ton of times but still don't know what it's called!!!
