Kindergarten - a 1st and 2nd day

Do I seriously have a Kindergartener?
Yep. I sure do!

Jackson started Kindergarten this week. He is loving it!
I'm pretty sure his favorite part is that he gets recess. Haha.
Of course :)

The day before school started, we went to the school and met his teacher.
His teacher has been teaching Kindergarten for 29 years! *At the same school!*
Which means she was a teacher when I was Kindergarten. She doesn't even look like she is old enough to have been there this long!

(The little girl is one of Jackson's best friends. We live on the same street as miss Lydia! Unfortunately they didn't get in the same class though... darn.)

On the first day of school, Jackson was with his Dad. I was pretty bummed that I didn't get to help him get ready or take him to school... I still met him there and wished him good luck though!

For his second day, he was with me. You bet I made his day as special as possible!!
I love being a Mom and being able to do fun things and have *special occasions* all of the time!
I stayed up late the night before making stuff before he came home in the morning.

A back to school wreath-- so simple and SO cute!

I made a couple wood apples, a giant personalized pencil, and a few other fun things...
then I decorated the table so he could have a special breakfast!

Can you guess what he wanted for breakfast?
...Cinnamon toast. LOL. What a special breakfast!

And here the little stud is on our first day of school...

Even with his eyes closed, he is a stud! haha.
he isn't much for taking pictures these days so I try to snap one every chance I get.
Some turn out, some don't. I still think he's dang cute. :)

--------

I love this kid SO dang much!
I can't believe he is in Kindergarten.. and going to be 6 soon!
He is so smart and tender hearted.
We are so blessed to have him in our lives.
I couldn't imagine life without him.
So proud of him and I'm excited to see what exciting things he learns this year! :)
