I LOVE the 4th of July!
It's my number one favorite holiday.
You can always count on an entire day of good times
not just with your own family
but with family, friends, and the entire town :)
We woke up early (7am early...)
and went to breakfast at the fire station.
It was our first time ever going and well...
it was good but I think we'll stick to our home made breakfast :) Lol.
We had some time to spare between breakfast and the parade so we went to visit family.
The boys put the flag up...
Then we went down and got our chairs set up for the parade!
This year we sat at Marc's great Aunt's house.
About a block away from my old house.. that I've sat at for the last 21 years!
I was missing my family a tad bit.
That cute girl holding my cute girl is my sister in law Shayna! We love her.
Shortly after that cute candy eating face, Jentri fell fast asleep in Grandma Cari's arms!
I think it's crazy how babies can sleep through such loud noise!
After the parade we walked down to see my family and then headed off to play at the park!
It was SO stinking hot, I could barely stand it.
Jackson had to go with his Dad but we had a few minutes to walk around and play a couple of games before he left.
Jentri went down the big shark slide with Daddy... and as you can see, she was not a happy camper!
Poor little booger.
I don't blame her though.. that thing was steep.
We went to eat lunch with the family and hung out for a while
then we went home for a good ol' afternoon nap! Haha. :)
Later that evening we made our way back to the park to watch fireworks and cry like a boob!
Just kidding. Only I did that.
I get emotional when I sit and think about AMERICA and how lucky we are to live in this land!
Jentri LOVED the fireworks!
She was talking and dancing around the entire time.
We missed Jackson tons though...
Split holidays really suck.

The 4th of July was a huge success this year
I think it just may be the best one yet. :)
Hope everyone else had a fun holiday, too!
