Being a single Mom is GREAT! No sarcasm intended.
Most of the time I would spill my heart about how I have grown into this beautiful souled woman who doesn't need someone to ta.... yeah, anyway, not doing it this time.
This is my Christmas post.
Nuff about me.
So Al the Elf came... we did the deed... read a book, left Santa's cookies and milk, left food for the reindeer, and off to bed the kiddies went. And I... laid down in my bed--- *pretending* to go to sleep so Santa could come. KEYWORD: *preeeetennnnd* Well, the backs of my eyelids were looking real nice that night, for some reason.. I just couldn't take my eye off of them. *clears throat*
5 O'clock AM rolls around.
Jackson "Mommy... Santa didn't come! He didn't even drink his milk or eat his cookies." :(
*slap myself*
Now, seriously, Al the Elf did his duty, and so did we! We went to bed ON TIME. Santa was slackin in a big way...
I told Jax to go back to bed because maybe Santa was running just a tad bit late tonight...
So he did.
45 minutes later when he woke up {yes, we rise and shine EARLY on this day!} Santa had delivered the goods!
*applause*
I was almost one upset single Momma. ;)
Ha. Ha. Ha. Ho. Ho. Ho.
Santa brought a KITTEN!
a whaaaaaat?!
Yep. Cute little cuddly thing.
I didn't know what to think about it at first...
but I'm getting used to this cute little gal, snuggling my head at night. :)
She loves me.
Jackson named she : Ali
Cute huh?
She's a gooooood kitty.
Besides pulling down the curtains.
And the water and food going everywhere.
And the bazillion scratches my son has on him.
But I blame him because Jentri doesn't have one. ZERO.
Ali is a goodie.
I didn't know how Jentri was going to react... if she would be whiney and tired... the usual
Nothing makes my heart warmer than them two being happy together. It's an amazing feeling and sight!
Santa brought lots of good stuff this year.
-A kitty for the family. And all of her essentials. Food, Dishes, litter box, scooper (yay me.), etc.
Jackson got a Wii and some games.
Clothes.
New shoes.
Socks. Because he's obsessed with wearing black socks. That's all the kid wants.
Legos.
A track.
Remote control cop car.
Glow in the dark stars.
I can't remember what else... but he got spoiled. S-P-O-I-L-E-D.

Christmas was a LOT different this year. But I really enjoyed it.
Santa came on Saturday morning and Jackson was back at his Dad's at noon.
I was really bummed out about it for the entire week but it actually turned out smoother than I thought it would.
I was afraid I would be depressed on Christmas Eve and Christmas day but thanks to M, and his awesome family, Jentri and I really enjoyed our entire weekend.
Something that I really, really, reallllllly liked about M's family on Christmas Eve...
We all went to dinner then went to his Grandparents house where the whole family sat in the dining room/living room and read the Christmas story out of the scriptures. It really stuck out and was a great reminder of what this holiday is really about. After that, Grandpa read Twas The Night Before Christmas. From what I could tell, they did this every year. *Tradition*! I love traditions.
He would read a line, then everyone would have to try and fill in the next line.
Then it was present time.
Nicest people ever- even gave me a gift. :)

Christmas Day Sacrament would have been nice... Buuuut, it happens.
AND I got Jackson back at NOON on Christmas, much earlier than planned, and I was HAPPY. :)
Hope everyone had a Merry Christmas!
I sure did.
Xoxo
Way to go Santa ;) Haha. That made me laugh! I am glad you guys had a good Christmas! And M is a cuuuutie:)
