Fairview

When I was little, my parents took my brother and I camping and fishing all the time. Joesvalley was our place- my Mom had gone there since she was a little girl. In 2005 my Grandpa bought some property in Fairview. He put a permanent trailer up there, and built a little shed. Both my Grandpa and Grandma were so excited to spend the majority of their Summers up there. They got a short visit in June, and my Grandma passed away in August. My Grandpa didn't quit, though he was devastated.

He enjoyed his time there. He stayed for weeks on end. And we made frequent visits up.
I remember one time he took my Mom and I on a ride to get fire wood and we hit the biggest hole- I bounced up off my seat and hit my head on the roof of the truck. He laughed and laughed.

His last visit was Summer of 2009. He was far too sick in 2010 to make it. I'm sure his heart ached. That was his other home. The place of peace.

Well I decided to take the kids up this last weekend... I sure missed that place! My Mom debated on selling it... but I know she quickly changed her mind when she visited this Summer.
It is seriously the most beautiful place ever. We have amazing neighbors that are seriously SO kind! I'm so glad she decided to keep it. I hope one day to pitch in and build a little cabin together for all of our family. :)

Jackson was soo funny the whole time. Some of the 'little moments' were:

He saw a bunch of cows standing on the side of the road. He's like- "MOM.. look at those cows! WHAT are they doing? They're like... standing there. Doing nothing. Cows NEVER do that." He was so serious! It was freaking hilarious.

He learned how to saw...

and chop wood...

We shot the BB gun...

Road in the back of the truck...

Carved names into the outlook...

Of course Jentri was the happiest little camper the entire time! Man, I sure lucked out with that girl. She is sooo pleasant and fun. :)

And on our way out, we saw a big ol' 6 point elk! Jax said his Dad would have shot it.. ha. I almost grabbed the BB gun. ;)

I'm so glad that I get to show my kids the things that I did when I was little. I can't imagine not learning and loving nature... and I want them to do the same. :)

Isn't this little girl flipping beautiful? :)
