Ten years ago today, you were taken to a better place. Although it brings tears to my eyes to think of how much little Jackson would enjoy having his Grandpa watch him play, and read him books, and teach him how to cast his fishing pole.. I know deep down that you are in a more peaceful place. It seems like yesterday that I was your little nurse, trying to fix you up to make you stay here longer. I am so grateful to have been blessed with such an amazing Daddy, you taught me so much in the time you were here. I sit and remember so vividly all of the memories we were able to share together and it helps me get by. I will pass down your love to all of my children and make sure they know what a great man you were. I hope that I can give them the love and support that my wonderful parents gave me. Thank you for watching over all of us. I miss you and love you more than words could ever say!

I found this letter that my Dad wrote to our Family before he died.
I would like to take a special minute and thank my wife Brenda. She has been everything. A caregiver, a beautiful mother, and a great companion. Brenda has worked and gone to college so she could take care of our Family. I really want to thank her for everything. I love you.
I want to thank my children for their support, especially Jared and Jaquie, my Doctor and Nurse. They were always there to take care of me. I know they are very caring children. May my love be with you forever.
I would like to thank my son Jeremy and Cheany for the beautiful grandchildren they brought to me. Take care of them.
I would like to tell Ashlee how proud I am of you for fulfilling the goals that you have made. Keep the wisdom that you have.
I would like to thank all my family and friends for their support. Especially you Sis, for being at my side everytime I was in the hospital and calling and telling me to have a positive attitude. Special thanks to my father-in-law Mose who drove me to the hospital and airport or where ever I had to go. Thanks Marylou for taking care of my family.
See you later, Your Husband, Dad, Grandpa, Brother, Son, Uncle and Friend.
