"This one step - choosing a goal and
staying to it - changes everything."
And as I sat and thought about it, in the silence of the office, I can't remember a goal that I made for my life that I actually stuck to. Well in the last year or so.
I got a gym membership last March because I just knew it would keep me motivated to lose weight.
BUT...
all of this...

and

and a mixture of other things have obviously gotten in my way of my fab. goal...so last month Jared talks me into getting the...DRUM ROLL PLEASE...

Yep...the VIP. Which is only ten more dollars a month for unlimited tanning and day care included, so heck why not? So then I make my goal of GETTING TAN!! Every woman's dream, right? Well I've gone once in three weeks.
So I guess what I'm trying to get at is I should probably quit making personal appearance goals, because those just don't go through. Maybe I'll start at setting aside a few extra dollars every month so by the end of 2010 i have enough money to buy...a DSLR?! Yeah, grrrreat goal. :)

And how about setting everything else aside for an hour every night to do whatever my little man chooses for us. (and document it!)
Baking Cookies?

Or Painting?

I feel that these kind of goals have much more of a chance in making it. :)
Im with ya.. Personal appearance goals never work for me either! So I think your new goals are perfect! Plus, you look great so you don't need to have personal apperance goals!
ReplyDeleteJennie, I can't beat around the bush in my own mind..LOL. I could lose a few(or a few, few) pounds! But is it really worth the disappointment in yourself when you make the goal and don't reach it? Nahh. I'd rather not think about it. ;)
