On Thursday I decided to take the kiddos up to my favorite place. It isn't my favorite place because of the scenery, or the water, or the heat... it's because of the people. I feel so very fortunate to have been in the wrong place at the right time on November 29th 2008. Can't imagine these people out of my life and I hope one day (soon?) they can be a big part of my little family again.
We drove up Thursday...

Both of the kids were awesome during the drive.
It was the best feeling in the world to walk in the door. Ahhh.
The kids swam like 85% of the time... Jax got fried! But now he's tan. Looks like my little mexican kid. Love it.

Friday was Justin's birthday. The big TWO-ONE. And he hung out with us cool kids instead of going out... ;) We went to Logan to the Diamond Rio concert and firework show. The fireworks were amazing... simple little reminder that I had everything that I loved at that moment. Even if it was just for the night.
I enjoyed hanging out with these people again. I love them dearly. The dying heat was totally worth it.
My wildy cute newphew, Peyton.

My favorite indian sista, Lacie. ;)

I truly am proud to be an American. The flag, the music about the USA, fireworks, and just the thought of what is behind the 4th of July, gives me chills. I love our Country and am very grateful I have the freedom to enjoy all of these things.
On Saturday, Jax got to feed the baby cows. :)
And go for a ride on the dirt bike. I tagged along for this... and it was a SWAMPY RIDE! All I can say is D.I.R.T.Y.
We went fishing on Saturday night but I don't have the pictures yet... Jax caught two. He was sooo excited. I stepped outside my comfort zone and finally ate fish and it was actually pretty tasty. I'll be having it again for sure. :)
We were supposed to come home Sunday night... I had the car packed and ready to go. But neither Jax or I wanted to leave so we stayed one more night. We got up early, like 6am, and drove home. I was saaad. It was like a fairytale and I knew leaving was going to be hard. I can't wait to go back. :) Wait... Can I just move back? ;) *sigh.*
