Fall Porch Decor: Take 1

I have a decent sized porch and I always want to decorate it for fall. Fall decorations are the best! I put some orange lights around the door.. I about died at how retarded it looked. I'm still in the process of making some more decor but it should be finished by next week and I'll post a pic of the finished product! I saw this cute little fence on Just Between Friends(can someone tell me how to link?) and decided to make a couple of my own for the porch! Let me just say that I LOVE them! It's pretty easy and CHEAP too! For 2 it cost me about $5.00, including the spray paint.

(don't mind the digusting dirtyness behind the fence. haha)


2- 1x2 from home depot. I cut each piece in 3 pieces. Shortest at 2 1/2ft, tallest at 3ft and the rest at random sizes in between those. These are only $0.77 each!


Just Between Friends used a lathe stake but I couldn't find one for the life of me so I just got another 1x2 and cut it the size I wanted for across.

She also nailed hers together... I didn't have any nails the right size so I just whipped out the wood glue and it worked just as great! [impatient me ;)]

I let that dry over night, spray painted them black, and sanded the edges and some top for an old look! I loveee how they turned out and can't wait to post the rest of the porch decor! ;)
